Greeks and immigrants wait to eat at the largest soup kitchen that takes place daily in Athens. The unemployment rates of the country are the highest among its European Union partners and a great part of the population is facing a financial dead-end. As they can not afford their basic needs, thousands of citizens are led to the soup kitchens of the church or the state for their daily nourishment.

Today, Greece is experiencing the worst financial crisis since World War 2 and its citizens are facing the uncertainty of tomorrow along with the highest rates of unemployment among the countries of the E.U and the harshest austerity measures ever implemented in a developed country. As a result, young Greeks, many of them with a high university education, decide to migrate in other E.U countries, seeking of the opportunity for a new beginning.
